I met both Jackson and Natsun about an hour before Tao did when they came to my bar to buy supplies for homebrewing. They were genuine and endearing, if not a bit odd, but I find it funny that so many people are taking a shot at Jackson for being honest and open. I'll take note of the next commenter who actually let's Tao write a weekly about them and really puts it all out there. I'll even supply the beer. Not to Tao though, because he would most likely forget it at Chocolate...

Article 8 and Article 15 of the Nationality Law are the most important for his purposes.

There should be a regulation that establishes what the application process and the thresholds that he has to meet.

However, the most important thing to keep in mind is that the PSB does not have to approve his application, the PSB does not have to tell him why they did not approve his application, and I guarantee you there is no appeal process for an application denial. All you can do is reapply again, and explain why your second application is different than your first.

I wish Jackson the best, but I think he has a long road to travel before he can get Chinese citizenship.

Article 8 Any person who applies for naturalization as a Chinese national shall acquire Chinese nationality upon approval of his application; a person whose application for naturalization as a Chinese national has been approved shall not retain foreign nationality.

Article 15 Nationality applications at home shall be Handled by the public security bureaus of the municipalities or counties where the applicants reside; nationality applications abroad shall be handled by China's diplomatic representative agencies and consular offices.

I'm not sure that commenters were putting Jackson in the "bad laowai" category, rather, some seemed to be more focused on Jackson's belief in Eugenics and the reasoning behind having a mixed child. I honestly don't give a rats hell how he spreads his sperm, as my post was merely poking fun at the idea of choosing Chinese DNA to mix with, but I could see how others might have issues with it.
