But I hope the media doesn’t follow the whole “anybody who the Chinese government is opposed to is a hero” glorification process. Chan is not a bad journalist. But it’s not as if she’s some sort of super tremendous reporter who Clark Kented on the side, either.

Oh, but I’m sure we’ll soon have articles on how she always pushed the envelope on uncovering injustice in China, and finally went too far and stepped on the toes of some all-powerful official, or something like that…
