It then gets picked up by Western news agencies, which apparently lends it credence. And we think: “South Korea is a developed country. And it’s the “good” Korea, so it must be right!” But on the whole, South Korean reporting on anything Chinese is about as credible as Indian reporting on anything Chinese…or maybe Hong Kong a tabloid. Take it with a capsule of salt.
