With regard to your request on Swan Lake. I think you might mean the bar in Shunyi called the Swan with Two Necks.

It’s actually a decent spot, but per this categories purpose….it’s entirely too far anyone to care about it…unless you work at one of the international schools in Shunyi or have a car.

Unfortuanetly you’re mistaken about Great Leap not having a happy hour. Before the started taking reservations yeah, you’re THAT popular? GL used to have one of the most asshole-ish of all happy hours. Every Tuesday, from something crazy like 2 to 2:03PM you could get 5 RMB off one of their normal beers (not specialty). You know, because everyone was available to get over from GuoMao, or SanLiTun for that mid-afternoon beer break.
