I also like how the rowing medals don’t use a podium. I mean, we all know who got gold…it’s not like they lose anything by standing shoulder to shoulder with their fellow medalists.

I’ve actually seen a lot of complaining this olympics from many different countries on coverage – most people want to see more than just their own athletes but are getting mostly just that unless they are really small to improve on this.

The US goes by total medals, and everybody else goes by gold.
