The problem with China as that in regards to food and animals there are not enough regulations. There are not enough regulations to regulate the fish population and keep fishers in approved waters. There are horrible animal testing regulation that really don't make sense (human testing don't count, must always test on animal). There's very few hunting regulations so animal conversation projects in China pretty much resort to buying land and fencing it off.

Again in reference to dog meat, eating dog meat is about as humane as generally eating any other type of flesh. If you enjoy lobster, know you boiled that thing alive to eat it's well guarded flesh. That's not much different from eating a dog, only you know, less macabre and cooking alive. --Shark and Bears is a matter of humanity and methodology. -- Dogs is a manner of a bunch of people out there who don't accept other people don't keep dogs as pets and may keep them as food. There are people out there who disagree with Peruvians eating guinea pigs and guinea pigs were actually first domesticated by these people. Don't see Japanese people going crazy over the British eating rabbits, of course the British are much more civilized than the Chinese right?
