Let’s see, no permission even to communicate with your own son for over one and a half years. Don’t rule out torture, the Chinese torture everyone from common criminals to rights supporters to FLG believers. The elite might be protected from this debasement, but don’t count on it.

For Guagua, paternal grandmother and grandfather, tortured and murdered by the party. For his maternal side, wasn’t his grandfather imprisoned for some time at some point? Odds are, yes. So, 3 of out 4 grandparents tortured, and only two murdered by the state.

But, he does have tons of money stolen from the people of China. So there is that. Just like every single other child of the elite and even a level below that.
