Too analytical, too intellectualized for my taste. Few of your readers have probably ever been to Xinjiang, and even many of those of us who have probably don’t know the culture well. Am hoping to see you cover subjects in a way that brings us closer to how people live there; for me, at least, this piece left me feeling like I’d been to an anthropology museum lecture.
