Reading his profile he been reporting in Hong Kong for the Washington Post but have he even bother to watch a historical chinese drama series? If he did he will know that plot like the ones in Game of thrones is a common theme in all historical chinese drama and shown all the time on chinese TVs!! Shows about separatists overthrowing tyranny government are shown on chinese tv all the time they are not censored and are allow to make these type shows so long they set the film in ancient era and do not show the communist party in and bad light. Game of thrones is set in a fantasy world with a bunch of white actors, I’m pretty sure if chinese dramas set in ancient China with chinese actors is not going to influence the people of China to overthrow the CCP Game of thrones is not going to either.
