On May 4, a stray white dog accepted a chicken leg from a cyclist in Sichuan, and when the men left, he followed. And followed. And followed. And 1,700 kilometers later, he was on the Tibetan Plateau. On the evening of May 23, he arrived in Lhasa and checked into a hotel with one of the riders, Xiao You, who updated the dog's Sina Weibo page. Named Xiao Sa, which means "Little Bodhisattva," he went in for a complete checkup, which revealed no problems. The veterinary hospital, after hearing Xiao Sa's story, decided to foot the 1,000-yuan bill.

I think I've had Sedrin before, but it obviously was not very memorable. Also, the name reminds me of sleep medicine. Harbin, meanwhile, is absolutely non-notable in every way. I'd call it "insipid," but that's much too fancy a description for such a bland, bland thing.

Last Sunday at about 2 pm, according to the timestamp in the raw footage captured by CCTV cameras, a truck driver in Heng County, Guangxi province pushed his way into a toll booth and assaulted the operator for what he perceived to be slow service. It's a dastardly act, and not just because he's a meathead and she's an overmatched woman.
Note to developers and demolition crews: don’t think you can destroy a person’s home without a fight. Last year, Yang Youde kept bulldozers at bay by constructing a homemade cannon. Earlier this month, a woman killed herself and two local officials with a bomb. For basically as long as houses have been razed, people have resisted, and the latest example is possibly the best: Mr. Zhou, a 70-year-old pensioner decked in camo, hurls petrol bombs at trespassers in the above video, refusing to vacate his home to greedy developers and their multimillion-yuan project.
