Taking advantage of my sofa position, I’d like to point out that I’ve noticed a recent trend with LC having a mean streak taking potshots at Chinese people. I liked it better when it was lightly poking fun at expat life and our own silliness. Just my wu mao.
This is offensive.
Have to agree with Jonathon. It’s defo got a pissed-off-at-China vibe thats angry st the zhongguos, Moreso than poking fun. Unless we’re wrong lcg?
The honeymoon is over…daily China life is kicking in…pollution…noise…common courtesy (lack thereof). Culture shock has become culture numbing, festering hatred.
Good for you, LCG…harness that hatred…make it work for you…
Aww, LCG went over to the dark side. When can we read an article about it on BC? “Failed expat artist goes mental with a spoon in local Beijing restaurant – yells at people to be quiet”.
Not funny, not witty, not novel. Feels like I’ve already seen this one ten times before. What a load of old cock-wash!
A chainsaw, when not in use, is quieter than a quiet suburban neighborhood. Further, the chart is missing its 0 decibel example- laughter caused by the latest edition of Laowai fuckin’ Comics.
That actually did make me laugh.
The chainsaw is in use though.
It’s cutting down trees to make paper for the book version of Laowai Comics.

The only funny thing about Laowai Comics is the comments.
…
I definitely read for the comments.
Me too. The comic is generally very poor but I usually have a good chuckle at the comments.
