I’ve been hearing a lot lately about this place and thought it was worth noting that there’s enough information in this video to find the place.

“The taco bar does not actually exist. Don’t go searching for it, because you won’t be able to find it. Unless of course you know where to look.”

How fucking pretentious! Beijing Slice, pull your shit together. And hire someone who knows how to shoot on that DSLR, for the love of god. Blowing your ESL paycheck on a Canon 5D doesn’t make you a videographer.

Obvs you’re just not cool enough to get invited to the secret taco hutong party. I did my own sleuthing and apparently the taco place refuses to have their address listed anywhere. They must be marketing geniuses. /eyeroll

Well, I must say, that’s a bit lame. What if I promise to wear my really cool pants that I’ve been fermenting for the past 3 years? Or my revolutionary eye patch with an image of Che crossed out by a peace symbol? Could I then be allowed to eat some damned Tacos?

I always thought a restaurant’s goal was to make money, who woulda thought!

Any foreigner who can afford to open up a taco place in Beijing doesn’t have to worry about turning a profit. This whole operation reeks of “daddy’s money” if you ask me. :/
