The Soundstage: AV Okubo

For those of you who have been watching, The Sound Stage has been working in a “series within a series” every other episode or so since last November, featuring bands from our trip to Wuhan. AV Okubo is the last of those bands.

We rode the rails for this one, the pristine carriage of the new high-speed trains, with power-plant exhaust as our backdrop. Hear how AV Okubo visited a “drug street” in Austin during SXSW, but more importantly, listen to “Red Tank” off their latest album, Dynasty.
