The thing about explosions on TV and movie sets is they have to be manageable. As a result, you’ll get a big bang and some fireworks, but rarely a sense of danger for the characters in the explosions.
In real life, things are liable to get more hairy. Take a look at the streaks of fire that start creeping along the ground in the surveillance footage above, involving an oil tanker at a Dongguan, Guangdong province factory. Three workers flee for their lives, and do all get out of harm’s way — barely. Ku6 video for those in China after the jump.
I guess it helps when you’re not smoking.
