Saturday is World AIDS Day and with 34 million people living with HIV, it continues to be one of the critical health challenges in countries everywhere. But over the history of the epidemic, one man stands out for his compassion and the conviction that AIDS can end.

Elton John began his activism in the 1980s at a time when few celebrities would speak out. As the Elton John AIDS Foundation marks its 20th anniversary, James Chau speaks to the singer songwriter and why the rights of HIV-positive people mean so much to him.
