Here’s A Car That Will Be Neither Chasing Nor Running Away From Pavements Anytime Soon

By The Good Doctor

Ever wonder what would happen if you fuck with the public works department in Beijing? If you’re like this unfortunate car owner, your vehicle will get paved over by a thick layer of asphalt. Let these photos (and video) be a warning.

To see Beijing’s latest installation piece, head over to Dongsi Shi’er Tiao hutong. I’m pretty sure the car won’t have moved since I saw it there on Friday.

In the carpark just south of Beihai Park is a tiny car that’s clearly been there since the 70s. It’s a little piece of history preserved in rust.

Don’t be like a yahoo ‘journalist’.

“your vehicle will get paved over by a thick layer of asphalt.”

Uh, not really. More like, asphalt will be poured around your car if is not moved. Nothing is PAVED OVER.

Where I live it is pretty easy to notice the electric bikes that have been left behind by foreigners who went home or elsewhere. I wonder, what’s the crime in ‘claiming one’?
