Ai Weiwei Releases Second Music Video, “Laoma Tihua”

Ai Weiwei Studios has just released the music video to a second single, Laoma Tihua, which you can watch above. It’s off Ai’s forthcoming album, The Divine Comedy (music by Zuoxiao Zuzhou), which will be released on Saturday morning.

Swing by later today at 11 am for a review by Pete DeMola, whose last piece for us was a compilation of music experts’ opinions of Ai Weiwei’s first single, “Dumbass.” Until then, enjoy this song, dedicated to China’s police. (“Enjoy”?)

Lyrics: Laoma Tihua

Who’s knocking on the door?
We’re all police.
Why are the cops breaching the door?
To see if you’re human.
Why are you breaking in?
To teach you a lesson, kid.
Why are you breaking in?
To teach you a lesson, kid.

Why are you beating me?
So what if I beat you!
Why are you beating me?
Who saw the beating?
Why are you beating me?
Speak with evidence!
Why are you beating me?
Do not fuck around.

Why are you beating me?
Never ever fuck around!

I don’t want to talk to you.
I don’t want to talk to you.
I don’t want to talk to you.
I don’t want to talk to you.

Ha why so angry and impotent, little MrT? Is it because what he exposes about the brutal Chinese political system is so true?

The party are fucking geniuses, now they order all universities to never tell students about all the failures and clusterfucks that the party has inflicted on China over these years. Just like they went to the unis back in 89 and told everyone that nothing happened in TAM.

Genius move, that! The party is the way forward! I’ve no evidence to counter that! Oh and don’t look back, don’t you ever look back or they just might catch you.
