This video was actually posted to Youku last year, but neither I nor Deadspin editor Brian Hickey had seen it, so we decided to go with it as the opening fight today in Deadspin’s ongoing series Tuesday Night Fights. I don’t know what else to say except it’s amazing and epic and ridiculous and never, ever try this at home.
The WWE has a fair number of fans in China, by the way, several of whom post all of its shows to video-sharing platforms here. An episode of Raw will usually draw at least 100,000 views.
WWE taped a house show of Smackdown in Shanghai in August, featuring some pretty good matches.
Awesome. “Most Epic” in China, maybe. Where are the ladder, folding chairs (round seat bottoms a la Hong Kong)? Still loved many of the finishing moves with Chinese characteristics; so did that guy who kept watching in the background.
All would be forgiven if these guys did a flying elbow off a cow. Internet, please make it happen.
You know, I liked that it was a “pure” wrestling match. Sure, you could have added props, but then you’d lose the artistry of the performance.
p.s. This cow, I hope you mean: http://beijingcream.com/2012/07/man-atop-cow-performs-perfect-rendition-of-justin-biebers-baby/
How is it only now that I am seeing this? I’ve never knowingly listened to Bieber, and now I know that I don’t want to — this man’s perfection has ruined any possibility of my ever enjoying Bieber’s voice. Thank you.
